Biography

Ed was born, raised, and spent his 1st 21 years in Belleville, KS.  He spent the next 26 years in the Topeka, KS area.  Ed moved to Western Kansas a year ago to advance his career as a Nurse Practitioner in rural America.  The medical field has been a strong passion of Ed’s and has been in the medical field since 1990 when he was a senior in high school.  He became an EMT then advanced to being a Paramedic. His work continued as a Paramedic from 1994-1999 and then returned to school and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree through Baker University in 2000.  In 2003, he received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Washburn University.  Ed spent 2003-2019 working as a nurse in different areas but primarily emergency departments.  He completed his Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner program in December 2019 through Walden University and earned his AANP national certification at the end of December 2019.

Ed has been married for 25 years to his wife Amy.  Amy is also a nurse and works for the VA clinics in Hays and Dodge City as needed.  They have a 23-year-old son that is a software engineer for Cerner in Kansas City and a daughter, age 22, a Senior at Fort Hays State University majoring in nursing.
